InkAlign
Refund Policy
Effective date:
KDP Acceptance Guarantee
InkAlign stands behind the print-layout optimizations we advertise for eligible purchases. This Refund Policy explains when you may receive a one hundred percent (100%) refund of the fees you paid to InkAlign for the specific qualifying transaction.
1. When the guarantee applies
Subject to the exclusions below, InkAlign will refund your purchase in full if Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) rejects your interior PDF solely because of a layout, margin, bleed, gutter, or font-embedding / flattening issue that falls within the scope of corrections InkAlign explicitly represents that it applies through the Service (for example, as described on our website or in your processing report at the time of export), and you have complied with the claim process in Section 3.
This guarantee is limited to rejections tied to technical print-layout or file-format issues in that category — not to editorial, legal, metadata, cover, pricing, account, or content-policy decisions by Amazon or any other platform.
2. Exclusions (no refund)
The guarantee does not apply if, for example:
- Amazon rejects the file for reasons unrelated to the layout fixes InkAlign provides (including but not limited to prohibited content, copyright disputes, account standing, or cover specifications).
- You modified the InkAlign-exported PDF after download in a way that could affect layout, fonts, or transparency before upload.
- You did not upload the exact print-ready file produced by InkAlign for the paid export, or you used incorrect trim or paper settings on KDP that do not match the specifications InkAlign targeted.
- The rejection is based on image resolution, color profile, or other issues we disclosed as requiring your review (for example, low-DPI image flags in a health report) and you proceeded without correction.
- You request a refund more than thirty (30) days after the original purchase date, unless a longer period is required by applicable law.
- Chargebacks or payment disputes are opened before good-faith resolution with our support team.
3. How to request a refund
Email support@inkalign.com with the subject line "Refund Request — KDP Rejection" and include: (a) the email or receipt identifier for your InkAlign purchase; (b) a copy or screenshot of Amazon's rejection notice showing the stated reason, to the extent Amazon provides one; and (c) confirmation that you uploaded the unmodified InkAlign export. We may ask reasonable follow-up questions to verify eligibility.
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method where possible, within a commercially reasonable time after approval.
4. Good-faith cooperation
Where a rejection may be resolvable with a revised export or settings guidance, InkAlign may first offer a free corrective re-processing of your file for the same project before issuing a refund, if you agree. You may still request a refund if the guarantee criteria are met after that attempt.
5. No affiliation with Amazon
InkAlign is not affiliated with Amazon.com, Inc. or Kindle Direct Publishing. Amazon's acceptance decisions are made solely by Amazon. This policy describes InkAlign's voluntary refund commitment only.
6. Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the current version.
